A few thoughts on collecting artwork

Memorial Day Sale

20% off original artwork now through Friday May 29th

Hi Reader

One thing I know about buying original artwork is that it’s different than buying almost anything else.

Most people don’t wake up one morning suddenly deciding:
“Today is the day I buy a painting.”

Usually you see a piece and it speaks to you.

You think about it while making coffee.
You wonder where it would live.
You think about what it says to you.
You feel the colors.

And sometimes you simply can’t stop thinking about it.

So I wanted to remind you of a few things during the studio sale this week:

If there’s a piece you’re considering and you’d like to see it more closely, I’m happy to send you a video so you can see texture, scale, movement, and details more clearly.

If you’re local to Greensboro, you’re also welcome to request a studio visit this week and see the work in person.

And if cost is the thing making you pause, payment plans are available through Klarna at checkout, or you can always email me directly.

Artwork is for everyone.

Not just seasoned collectors.
Not just wealthy people.
Not just designers.

Sometimes a painting simply belongs with someone. Is there a piece calling to you?

Good Morning Reader Lately I’ve been thinking about the myth of Sedna and how it relates to the work we do in my group coaching program In The Company of Women. Depending on the version you hear, Sedna was a young woman forced into a life that was never truly hers. She tried to escape. She believed she was being rescued. Instead, she was betrayed by the very people she trusted to carry her to safety. And in the middle of the ocean, clinging to the side of a boat, when her father -to save...
