Upcoming Events

Hi Reader

There’s so much bubbling up over the next few weeks—new art, watercolor, wine, 80’s music, open studio doors, and a few really wonderful ways for us to gather, make things, and spend some time together. Here’s where you can find me (and hopefully where I’ll get to find you!) this August, September, and beyond.

🎨 Watercolor Club

Class every Tuesday!

This isn't about making perfect paintings. It's about making time to create. Each week we gather to explore watercolor in a supportive, encouraging community where curiosity matters more than perfection. (Most people start in this club as complete beginners!)

AUGUST 21 · LAST DAY TO JOIN THE PERCOLATION PROJECT

What’s the thing you keep saying you’re going to do?

Write the book. Make the art collection. Build the website. Launch the offering. Figure out what the hell you actually want to focus on next.

The Percolation Project is a small-group experience for getting clear on the thing that matters, building the confidence to actually pursue it, and making real progress alongside a community of people doing the same.

Registration closes August 21.

STARTING AUGUST 24 · IN-PERSON WATERCOLOR AT THE MARSHAL MUSE GALLERY

Come paint with me—in actual real life!

I’m bringing watercolor out of my home studio and into The Marshal Muse Gallery in Greensboro for an in-person watercolor class on Thursdays from 1–3 PM.

Whether you’re newer to watercolor or you’ve been painting for a while, come spend a couple of hours playing with water, pigment, technique, and possibility. We’ll experiment, learn, make some beautiful things (and probably some weird things), and enjoy making art together.

SEPTEMBER 1 · 80’S CHILD IS FULL OF WOE COLLECTION RELEASE

Bright colors. Big feelings. A little childhood magic and a little childhood terror.

80’s Child Is Full of Woe is my newest collection of original paintings and fiber work inspired by growing up in the 80’s—the nostalgia, the weirdness, the freedom, the fear, and all those memories that somehow lodged themselves inside us.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS: The full collection officially drops Tuesday September 1st 10am

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 12 · MEET THE ARTIST NIGHT AT RIOJA WINE BAR

Come have a totally tubular night with me.

Rioja Wine Bar in Greensboro is hosting me for Meet the Artist Night starting at 5 PM—and we’re leaning ALL the way into the 80’s.

I’ll be debuting the 80’s Child Is Full of Woe collection in person, we’ll have 80’s music playing, wine flowing, and you’ll get to see the texture, color, layers, and weird little details of these pieces up close.

Come see the art. Have a glass of wine. Sing along to something you haven’t heard since 1989. Stay awhile.

OCTOBER 3 · WESTERWOOD ART & SOLE

Come snoop around my studio!

Once a year, the artists of Greensboro’s Westerwood neighborhood throw open our studio doors and invite you inside for Art & Sole.

Spend the day wandering through the neighborhood, meeting artists, seeing where the work actually gets made, and discovering original art along the way. It’s one of Greensboro’s premier studio tours—and my home studio will be one of your stops!

Come see what I’ve been making, poke around the studio, and experience Westerwood at its creative best.

October 3 · 10 AM–5 PM

Good Morning Reader Lately I’ve been thinking about the myth of Sedna and how it relates to the work we do in my group coaching program In The Company of Women. Depending on the version you hear, Sedna was a young woman forced into a life that was never truly hers. She tried to escape. She believed she was being rescued. Instead, she was betrayed by the very people she trusted to carry her to safety. And in the middle of the ocean, clinging to the side of a boat, when her father -to save...
